2022 Adoptions
RALPH
Ralph is one of the three Australian shepherd puppies we took in in January 2022. He was the first animal to be adopted from our rescue. He was adopted by his foster parents on February 2, 2022!
NOVA
Nova, (formerly known as Baxter), is one of the three Australian shepherd mix puppies we took in in January 2022. He was adopted to a loving family in Rock Hill, SC, and now has a huge yard to get his zoomies out in! Adoption day: February 9, 2022.
Belle
Belle, (formerly known as Sheba), is one of the three Australian Shepherd puppies we took in in January of 2022. She was adopted by a young couple and now has a new four legged brother to play with! Adoption day: February 12, 2022.
Clementine
Clementine, (formerly known as Athena), was one of our 6 Catahoula puppies that we saved in February. She is now living in Virginia with her new parents and her doggy brother! Adoption date: March 11, 2022.
copper
Copper is one of our 6 Catahoula puppies that we saved in February 2022. He was adopted to a loving family where he now has a doggy sister to play with, and two human brothers to play with! Adoption date: March 13, 2022.
Cindy
Cindy waited in the shelter for months before she finally found herself on the list for euthanasia due to limited space. An amazing woman volunteered to foster her and saved her life. She and her boyfriend fell in love and decided that Cindy was already home! She was adopted by them and lives with her doggy and kitty siblings. Adoption date: April 5, 2022.
Roux
Roux, (previously Biscuit), was one of the six Catahoula puppies we took in in February 2022. She was adopted by a loving couple in Atlanta, GA and gets to play with her "cousin" dog friends all of the time, and go on lots of adventures. Her parents prayed for a dog like her, and are so happy! Adoption date: April 9, 2022.

Penny
Penny was one of our six Catahoula puppies that we saved in February. She was adopted at about 4 months old, and then was returned at 6 months for "getting too big" and "having too much energy". Penny had a fantastic foster that helped her redirect her energy, and we all fell in love with her personality. She was adopted by a young family looking for an active dog like her. Penny now has a fenced yard and two human siblings that she loves! Adoption date: August 20, 2022
Bleu has a special adoption story... he is one of the six Catahoula puppies we saved in February of 2022. He was almost immediately spoken for by an approved adopter, and went home after he was healthy enough. Shortly after going "home", Bleu was returned due to the other dogs not liking him. Lucky for him though, his second adoption was the perfect home! He now lives in Asheville, NC with his dog sister, pawrents, and two human siblings. Adoption date: May 22, 2022
Benny
Benny was actually the first dog that BBAR aqcuired when starting our rescue in January of 2022! Benny was HW positive, but was also a special rescue, because he had been abused. It took a long time for Benny to get comfortable enough around humans to be ready for adoption. We knew he had to find the perfect family who would understand him, and he did! Benny lives with his parents and sister in Charleston, SC. Adoption date: May 26, 2022

Ollie was adopted by his temporary foster parents when his regular foster was out of town! They fell in love in just a few short days of knowing him, and couldn't picture life without him! Adoption date: June 19, 2022
Birdie
Birdie is the mom to our 6 bird litter pups that were born under a shed. Birdie had gotten lost from her previous home and ran astray for months, before she ended up pregnant. She did a great job raising her puppies in a foster home, and got her happy ending not long after all of her puppies! Adoption date: July 5, 2022
Bali
Bali (previously called Love) was surrendered to a shelter after her first family decided they no longer wanted her, and threatened to dump her. We were able to take Bali in and get her ready for her perfect home. She hit the jackpot with her new mom and fur brother, Banjo! Adoption date: July 13th, 2022.
joey
Joey was pulled from a local shelter in late May of 2022. We pulled him because he wasn't doing well in the shelter environment. He would urinate on himself out of fear, and was suffering from demodex. Joey made a very quick turn around, and now LOVES people, other dogs, and snuggles! He was adopted by a young woman in Mt. Pleasant, SC Adoption date: July 31st, 2022.
Murphy
Murphy was pulled from a shelter after being surrendered by his previous owner for running off multiple times. Murphy loves the outdoors and loves to explore, but his previous owner didn't want to leash walk him and did not have a fenced yard, so they gave up on him. Luckily for Murphy, he is in the most perfect home with adventurous parents, a fenced yard, and other dogs to play with! Adoption date: August 3rd, 2022.
Antonio
Antonio was pulled from a shelter after sitting on the euthansia list for quite some time. He was labeled not dog friendly, but was actually just nervous in the shelter. A foster stepped up for him when he became at risk, and their family ended up falling in love and decided to adopt him! Antonio now lives in Mount Pleasant, SC with his fur sibling, human siblings, and parents! Adoption date: August 4th, 2022.
Alex
Alex is a young adult who was surrendered to the shelter when her family was deployed in the military. She had been passed around from friends and family before finally being surrendered. She really came out of her shell in foster care, and started to thrive outside of the shelter. Alex was adopted by a young couple in Charlotte, NC and is very loved! Adoption date: August 8th, 2022.
Emmitt
Emmitt was pulled by from a local shelter by his foster dad who has a love and appreciation for catahoulas, (aka Emmitt's breed). Emmitt's foster dad immediately fell in love with him and decided to adopt him. Emmitt is a lucky dog who went straight from the shelter to what is now his forever home! Piper was pulled from a local shelter after landing high on the euthanasia list. We couldn't figure out why no one wanted to give her a chance, so we gave her one! Piper went through heartworm treatment, and was such a wonderful girl, that her foster's parents fell in love and adopted her! Adoption date: August, 27, 2022.
Moose
Moose was pulled from a local animal shelter after he was found as a stray and never reclaimed. He is the sweetest, goofiest boy, and was adopted by a young woman who is very active - a perfect fit for Moose! Adoption date: September 3rd, 2022.

Axel was pulled from the shelter into a temporary foster home, but his fosters ended up falling in love, and decided to adopt him! Adoption date: September 10, 2022
mo & James
Mojito and Jameson, (Previously Poe and Frank), were 2/4 bottle kittens that were raised in our rescue! The other two kittens were adopted together, so it was the happiest ending when these two boys got to stay together also! They are very loved by their new parents! Adoption date: September 11, 2022.
Percy
Percy was found in a rural part of Tennessee, running with his brother. His brother was adopted by the finders, and Percy came to us and landed in a foster home that was a "foster to adopt" situation. They officially made him a part of the family! Adoption date: September 19, 2022
Dimitri
Dimitri was saved from the shelter the day he was going to be euthanized. He was nothing but a happy boy during his time in foster care, and was adopted by a young woman in Charleston, SC! She loves him so much, and continued to thank us for saving him and letting them find each other. Adoption date: September 17, 2022.
Deacon
Deacon was pulled from a rural SC shelter after being found a stray. We think his brother was found shortly after, but went to another rescue. Deacon is the happiest, friendliest boy, and was adopted into a home where he gets to have a doggy brother to play with, and adventures to go on! Adoption date: October 19th, 2022.

Trina
Trina was pulled from a rural SC shelter and was high heart worm positive. She began treatment in Charlotte, but a young couple in Charleston saw her on our social media and put in an early application. Trina went to Charleston to do a "foster to adopt", but they instantly fell in love, and made it official! Adoption date: October 7th, 2022.
Mack
Mack (previously Gomez) ended up in a rural shelter in South Carolina with two of his siblings. He was pulled into our rescue, and his foster mom's friend met him and fell in love. He now gets to live with his dog dad in Charleston, SC! Adoption date: November 1, 2022.
Roo
Roo was pulled from a rural SC shelter. She went to a foster home with two parents, and a fur sibling. Despite being a neglect case, she very quickly fell in love with her foster family, and they fell in love with her! They decided to adopt and officially make her part of the family! Adoption date: October 18th, 2022.
Gabby Grace
Gabby Grace was found as a stray in the country just outside of Charleston SC. She was found by a lovely couple who's female dog had recently passed away. They knew it was meant to be when Gabby found them. The only catch, was that Gabby was VERY pregnant! She came into our rescue and birthed and raised her 10 puppies, and was officially adopted by the couple that found her. Adoption date: November 2, 2022.

Sullivan is 1/10 of our "Charleston litter" pups. His mom was found as a stray in the country, but thankfully all of the pups were born in a foster home instead of outside. He was adopted to a young couple in Charleston, SC. Adoption date: November 9, 2022.
Bixby
Bixby was pulled from a rural animal shelter in South Carolina. He was adopted by a retired couple in Waxhaw, NC and gets to enjoy being the only dog with a big fenced yard, spoiled by his pawrents! Adoption date: November 10, 2022.
Brody
Brody was surrendered to a shelter in North Carolina by his family. He is 10 years old, hard of hearing, and had arthritis. We had a foster that got him out of the shelter ASAP. While we were getting him healthy, we found out his brother was surrendered also. Miraculously, Brody's brother was adopted, and those same people decided to adopt Brody and let the boys spend their remaining years together! Brody now lives in Waxhaw NC. Cookie
Cookie found herself in the shelter after being attacked by a group of dogs. She was terrified! We took her in and she was adopted very quickly after a couple saw her post. They knew she was the one! Adoption date: January 4, 2023.
Rufus
Rufus was adopted when he was a puppy, and sadly returned when his previous adopters had unexpected life changes. Rufus was sad at first, but then was adopted by an amazing, adventurous young couple. He now has such a fun life! Adoption date: January 4, 2023.
Cinnamon
Cinnamon sat in the shelter for months and she was just a puppy. We had a foster offer so we pulled her. Miraculously, someone all the way from New York adopted Cinnamon because of how much she reminded him of his previous dog. They are a perfect match! Adoption date: January 13, 2023.
Myers
Myers was adopted as a young puppy from our rescue. He was sadly returned as he got older and the other dog in the home no longer accepted him. He was adopted again by a loving family, and now has a deaf dog brother who he helps take care of. They are all so in love! Adoption date: January 20, 2023.

Darla spent almost an entire year in our rescue. She was a special case, because she was fearful of new people and other dogs. She also battled heartworms and an illness called IMHA.
